Dupuytren’s Disease
Dupuytren’s Disease is a connective tissue disease in the palm of the hand. It most commonly affects northern European descent but can affect all people. It begins as a thickening in the palm and later extends into the fingers or thumb and can cause contractures or stiff digits with decreased range of motion. Non-surgical and surgical treatment options are available for those with contractures. Individual treatments are discussed with each patient based on their exam and history at their appointment.
